Due to competing demands to improve direct patient care this winter alongside the national vaccination programmes for COVID-19 and influenza, the practice has decided to delay the implementation of accelerated access to GP-held patient records on the 1st of November 2022. This is in line with BMA, LMC and data protection guidance for practices to ensure the safe and appropriate rollout of this new initiative.
